My name is Seralin Krausse, but all of my friends call me Sally. I grew
up in the small town of Republic Washington. There I learned to hunt,
fish, and work on the farm. I also was started playing bluegrass on the
guitar at the age of six. I accepted Christ into my heart when I was
six years old. My family never took me to church, but I always went
with my best friends who introduced Jesus into my life. Growing up I
had two parents who stayed together and were sure to teach me manners
and hard work. “Busy hands are happy hands” my father would always say.
So I was sure to always keep busy. That wasn’t too hard considering the
fact that we lived on a farm. Throughout high school I dedicated my
life to sports, 4-H, and community services. I always had a project
going on. My junior year I started spending a lot of time with my
grandmother. I would go to her house every day and knit. Then I started
going to church with her instead of my friends. That is when I really
Started listening the the messages being presented to me.
Ever since then I have decided to live for Christ and have been
following his calling. I feel that he led me to Eastern Washington
University; where I am involved with a great Christian group called Campus Crusade for Christ that has truly guided me through these first
two years. I am now a leader in that group along with still being
active in sports and starting up a rodeo club here at Eastern. In the
summer time, I am a wildland firefighter and timber marker, along with
an active rodeo contestant. To sum it all up, I am a small town country
girl. I have always dreamed of traveling to another country and
possibly even changing someone life while I was there. Just so you know
me a little bit better, my favorite quote is Tthere are no ordinary
moments”-Dan Millman.
