1. i would pick, unquestionably the best and most important band in rock history, as well as the most compelling story. Almost miraculously, they embodied the apex of the form artistically, commercially, culturally and spiritually at just the right time, the tumultuous ’60s, when music had the power to literally change the world, or at least to give the impression that it could, which may be the same thing.

   Yeah that’s right, I’M talkin about the BEATLES BABY

2. That is a goooood choice Davie, but i would have to go with Family Force 5 because they put on such and awesome show!!!!! 😀

3. super hard question. i appreciate all music and love it all. some bands are more talented, some more passionate, and some just awesome. Latley iv been listening to dave barns a lot though and thouroghly enjoy his music haha, maybe i would invite him? i mostly like acoustic stuff

5. The beetles??? Come on. gaully gee. Well… I would have to say either Jeremy Camp, “high five Alyssa!!!” or Rush of Fools. They are AMAZING!!! I have been known to listen to their entire CD at work all day long and not get bored.

   Surely the originality I was looking for on a list such as this.
   I would have to say, bearing in mind this is one of those “too many choices” questions,
   Dream Theatre. No one like em. No one beats em. Records, Live show, experience, technicality, subtlety, chaos and beauty.
   Dream Theatre.

   However, I’m going to have to say that Coldplay owns all other musicians.

10. Everyone does have their own taste Gail, but Coldplay, seriously? Have you heard their new album?? (It came out today.) Two thumbs down, sorry. I love you, not your music. But you’re still amazing!! 😀

    As for me, I’ve got six all time favorites, 3 below ground; Hendrix, Marley, and (Curt Cobain) Nirvana.

    3 not quite six feet under; Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, and Jeremy Camp.

    I’m sorry you don’t like their newest record.
    It’s so different than their others, but I love it!
    And their lyrics have so much depth. It’s great.

    But I love how you’re into some of the 90’s grunge stuff! I can’t wait to be introduced to all of your favorite tunes. I’ll come back to Canada with a long list of some new favorites I’m sure.

12. Well now, it seems as if everyone has been jumpin on this topic lately. I suppose now would be time for me to give an answer..

    I agree w/ Sara that it depends on the type of party. However, that said (Brittanty you’ll love this) I could invite Family Force 5 to ANY kind of party. Because if there’s a party, I don’t care what type it is, your face NEEDS to be rocked off! FF5 is the band for that!

    Since Seth didn’t ask for more than one band or musician-I’m gonna leave it at that. Cuz otherwise, I could go on forever about all the other music ppl I’d invite.

13. I would have to say Shawn McDonald! Oddly enough, going to his concert got me to go on this trip in a way… 😀

14. im thinking maybe relient k, jus cause their songs are really fun to jump around to. i actually think their music is kinda annoying, but definately fun to jump around to.

15. I just can’t get enough Pearl Jam. Or Eddie Vedder solo. Either or.

16. Well, what kind of party are we talking about here? If I’m having a tea party I’d call up Chopin to play the piano for me. If I’m having a dance party I’d have to invite either the Spice Girls (yes thats right), or the Jackson 5. If I’m having a worship party I’d go with Hillsong. A cook out in the yard would require Jimmy Buffett. So many options…it can get complicated.
