You’ve no doubt heard the

expression “Wake up and smell the

coffee!” If you
could wake up every

morning to the distinct smell of any

one thing, what would
you choose?

  1. I would have to say that I would want to wake up to the smell of freshly baked blueberry muffins. Or cinnamon bread.

  2. I have to say, I’d go with the coffee. I love the smell of coffee. I love the taste of coffee. I’ve actually been told I’m an addict. But hey, I can quite any time I want. :-p I just happen to not want to.

This is a really tough question… so I’m not going to answer it correctly =] It would be a tie between the smell of pancakes (or just breakfast..), the smell of freshly cleaned laundry (kinda like a fresh cotton smell), and the smell of hazelnut coffee. Those, right there, are some amazing scents!!!

  4. The smell of pine needles and fresh dew. Like when you wake up in your tent on a camping trip. That smell, combined with the sound of chattering squirrels, beats all others in the world.

  5. I’m going to definitely go with waking up to the smell of towels right out the dryer.. that were dried using Bounce with Febreze Fresh Scent Spring & Renewal dryer sheets. It’s as if God himself personally did my laundry and sprayed it with the scent of heaven.

  6. I agree with Gail (“Hi Gail!”), fresh dew… or the way it smells when you go outside after it’s been raining or just before it snows. Really just any of that “outdoorsy” scent. Beautiful.

  7. Well mine is really weird…i love the smell of my boyfriend’s deoderant, so if i could wake up to any smell every morning it would be that :0)

  9. do know how potent female sweat is?…. VERY. they have different kinda apocrine sweat glands causing them to produce more acetylcholine which in turn causes them to produce more of the chemicals 2-methylphenol and 4-methylphenol which in turn makes their sweat more potent then that of male counterparts… yet they always seem to smell heavenly… so if their deodorant is good enough for them … it’s DEFINITELY good enough for me

  10. haha i like this deoderant topic. i wear old spice if that counts for anything. yeah what Gail said. waking up after camping is pretty awesome and refreshing. i love the smell of nature.

    I want to add a smell other the coffee to my preferred morning scent-the ocean. I haven’t been to the beach in six or seven yrs but I always loved smelling the ocean in the morning.

    While we’re on the topic of food, anyone have any good recipes? I LOVE to bake! (btw, do we get to volunteer to cook, because I’m gonna miss it!)

  15. how do you know all of that cool stuff about sweat! sweet, anyways, i love the smell of freshly cut grass. i definitaly have to go with that. or a swimming pool, it reminds me of swim team days.

  16. I miss Sunday mornings, waking up to the smell of my dad baking his famous chocolate chip muffins. So I’d probably choose that smell, for all the nostalgia it brings.
